Project K is an event platform used by organizers to run events and by attendees to join them — schedules, ticketing, check-in, chat, and event-specific features like a wallet or arcade. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.
Information we collect
| Category | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, profile photo (via Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or email) | Create and identify your account, show your profile to other attendees |
| Location | Approximate or precise device location, only while using the app | Show nearby events and distance to session venues |
| Camera & photos | Photos/video you take or choose to upload | Scan check-in/ticket QR codes, set a profile photo, post to the event feed, photo-booth features |
| Payment | Purchase amount and status — card/UPI details are entered directly into Razorpay, our payment processor, and never pass through or get stored on our servers | Ticket purchases, wallet top-ups, event billing |
| App activity | Sessions bookmarked, chat messages, wallet transactions, arcade scores | Provide the core features of the app you're using |
| Device & push tokens | A push-notification token tied to your device | Deliver event updates and notifications |
How we use this information
- To operate the features you use — joining events, checking in, chatting, buying tickets, using an event wallet.
- To show organizers aggregate information about their own event (attendance, ticket sales) — never your private messages or precise location history.
- To send you notifications about events you've joined.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of processors to run the app:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, push notifications, crash/analytics.
- Razorpay — payment processing for ticket purchases and wallet top-ups. Card and UPI details are handled entirely by Razorpay under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for photos and media you upload.
- Google Maps / Apple Maps — venue maps and directions.
Data retention
We keep your account and event data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service (for example, ticket records for an event you attended). You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see below.
Your choices
- Location, camera, and photo-library access are optional and can be denied or revoked at any time in your device settings — some features (like QR check-in or nearby-event discovery) won't work without them.
- You can delete specific parts of your data — photos/videos, message content — or your entire account, yourself, at projectk-theananta.web.app/delete-data. Purchase and billing records are retained where required for legal/accounting reasons.
Children's privacy
Project K is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the update.
